In April 2009, we were delighted to open ‘Aspire’, our Young Persons Centre in Great Yarmouth, in partnership with Orwell Housing Association and Great Yarmouth Borough Council.

BOOM! is a new programme of positive activities for young people covering the whole of Norfolk. It's funded by NCC Children’s Services and is a joint project, run by The Benjamin Foundation and The Mancroft Advice Project (MAP), aimed at engaging disadvantaged young people between the ages of 5 and 19yrs.

In North Walsham, The Benjamin Foundation manages the local Connexions Centre ‘One Stop Shop’ in a unique partnership agreement with Connexions Norfolk. Connexions and The Benjamin Foundation work together to offer advice, help and guidance to all young people aged between 13 and 19.

Fairstead House is the most recent addition to our housing and homeless resource and opened at the end of 2009 on the Fairstead Estate in Kings Lynn. It provides accommodation for up to 7 young homeless people, with the primary focus being on 16/17 yr olds. It is responding to a real need in the area as, until this facility was established, there was no available supported accommodation for young homeless people in the target group.

Our Kidstore shop offers a fantastic range of second-hand but superb quality items for babies, toddlers and growing youngsters – making life a little easier for hard-pressed or budget-conscious families.

Kidzone provides both after-school and holiday clubs for children aged 4 to 11 in a safe and friendly environment.

Our ‘Meet Up’ cafe, situated in the former Redcastle Furze Community Centre, is at the heart of the Thetford Inspiring Communities project, acting as a hub and providing a safe place for young people to meet. Open to children, young people and their families, it’s been designed particularly with 11 to 14 year olds in mind.

The Sackhouse Venue was set up to provide a building in the heart of the town of Wells-Next-The-Sea for youth activities.

Steven Newing House is our supported housing project in Fakenham that aims to address the needs of young single homeless people aged 16 – 25.

The Benjamin Foundation Resettlement Scheme began in 2000 to provide crisis intervention work to rough sleepers, homeless families and individuals in Norfolk. This client group struggles to find affordable accommodation under current housing legislation and many find their options limited due to being in the poverty trap.

The Carpenters Arms Youth Drop in Centre provides a safe meeting place for young people in North Walsham. It offers supervised, fun activities where young people can make friends seek advice and gain encouragement to reach their potential.

Time For You (T4U) is a dedicated service offering support, advice and guidance for children and young people aged 4-19.

Town Tots Pre-School and Crèche offers a warm, welcoming environment to children and their parents/carers where all feel valued, safe and happy.

Winston Court has provided supported accommodation to young single homeless people in North Walsham since it opened in 1997. The centre offers nine single accommodation rooms and two semi-independent move-on flats. Our facilities include a fully equipped communal kitchen, laundry room, lounge and games room.

Our Youth Bus service provides a valuable and very popular service to young people, aged 11-16yrs, living in rural communities. We currently cover the villages of Walsingham, Potter Heigham, Aldborough and Bacton. The bus is well equipped with a range of activities and trained staff ensure it’s a safe and fun place for children to ‘hang out’ – and it’s free!
